Green lumber solutions include salvaged and recycled materials, FSC certified material, and Box Beams. These solutions have been in response to market demand for better and more sustainable lumber.

Recycle, Reclaim, Salvage Lumber
Jackel provides a number of salvaged and recycled materials such as Redwood, Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir. These materials come from a variety of sources such as housing and building demos, water tank salvage, river recovered logs and a host of other sources.

Certified Material Jackel Enterprises, Inc. has been formally acknowledged by the ©SmartWood Program of the ©Rainforest Alliance to be certified as a Chain-of-Custody company. This affiliation is part of Jackel’s growing effort to promote and participate in sustainable forestry and stewardship. Jackel will be supplying the Greater Bay Area and San Francisco Bay Area with ©FSC Certified hardwoods and softwoods especially Western Red Cedar.

Wood Box Beams
Box Beams are a versatile choice in any application that does not call for a structural placement of solid wood. A Box Beam is a 3-sided faux timber primarily made from FSC Certified meterial. Box Beams only use a fraction of the material to produce stunning visual effects. Box Beams are used to house wiring, plumbing, lighting and they can cover up existing structural beams.
