Salvaged Redwood: Jackel has been engaged salvaging old growth Redwood logs from Big Sur for over 10 years. These logs are recovered off the forest floor the result of windfall, blowdown, firebreak, and other natural events. We resaw the logs into cants and then into full sawn lumber, primarily vertical grain all heart. We’ve just emptied our kiln and have newly dried material in our warehouse. This is full sawn 4/4 and 8/4 old growth and fine grain, very beautiful fiber. Our stock is limited to a maximum of 8” wide. We work with another small mill in Northern California and provide additional sizes by special order.

Eastern Walnut: For the last year we have been purchasing our Eastern Walnut from a mill in Missouri. We are very pleased with the quality. Presently, we have a unit of 4/4 #2 that is 8” and wider. In addition we have stocked FAS 1F & #2 Common, 12/4 and some figured stock.
